When you get an email asking you to change password, or
personal information for your account, credit cards...etc , you be careful ,
you need to make sure that the email is originally sent from your account
provider , email spoofing is all around and they are smart to even make you believe
that the email address they are using is identical to your provider, like for
example if you have an ebay account you may receive a strange email asking you
to change your personal information and if you look closely to the email
address used it may trick you, and make you believe that ebay really sent the
email , when you open the fake email you will find always a link asking you to
click on it to start the process of changing your personal information , and if
you click you will be redirected to a website that may look like you provider's
website BE CAREFUL , before you entering any information password , username or
any kind of personal information , make sure of one thing look in the address
bar of your internet browser and make sure that the domain name is your
provider's domain name for example if you receive an email asking you to change
your personal information in ebay and they ask you to click on the link to
start the process and you did , take a look at the address bar and find out if
you are really in ebay's website look for www.ebay.com if it is something
else like an ip address or different domain name like a typo, then don’t enter
no information that is a trap to get your password and user name , same thing
with any other email asking you for personal information always make sure from
the domain name of the website if it is really your own provider of your
account, and be careful of the typos of the domains, contact your provider by
visiting the website of your provider login to your account and send to their
support the fake address used in the email, the email address and request your
provider tech support to do a mass email for all other users or member to be
careful of the spoofed email. A lot of people made mistakes because they did
not take their time to make sure if the email is a fake one, but let’s say you
are one of them people who already got tricked , what you have to do is ACT
FAST go and login to your account , change password and if you use the same
password in your email that you provided in that account or any where else , go
and change it login to your email account and change the password for your
email box , contact your support tech and let them know that you have been
tricked , send the spoofed email address to them .
Always take time to read and make sure of where you are
redirected and what website , when it comes to your personal information .
